Johnson, 39, has won three in a row and Hernandez, 33, is on a four-fight winning streak and were set to be featured on the early portion of the preliminary card.

The 155-pound contest wasn’t the only bout removed from the card this week.

A bantamweight matchup between Cameron Smotherman and Ricky Turcios was cancelled shortly after Smotherman collapsed mere seconds after he stepped down off the scale at Friday’s official weigh-in.

Earlier in the month, a women’s bantamweight title fight featuring champion Kayla Harrison and former longtime champion Amanda Nunes was postponed and pulled from the card due to Harrison undergoing neck surgery.

UFC 324 marked the organization’s first event of 2026 and took place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
