Inditex expands Yorkshire presence with Stradivarius and Pull&Bear debuts

Spanish retail giant Inditex is strengthening its foothold at Meadowhall with the regional debut of two of its youth-focused brands, as Stradivarius and Pull&Bear sign for new flagship stores at the South Yorkshire destination.
The latest signings will see the fashion group’s total footprint at Meadowhall exceed 70,000 sq ft, joining existing stores from Zara and Bershka.
Pull&Bear has secured a prominent 13,000 sq ft unit on Meadowhall’s Lower Level High Street, where it will launch a full-line flagship spanning menswear, womenswear, accessories and footwear. The store will feature the brand’s latest global design concept, with an emphasis on interactive and experiential retail.
Adjacent to Pull&Bear, Stradivarius will open an 8,200 sq ft regional flagship showcasing its complete womenswear, footwear and accessories offer. The opening marks the brand’s first presence in the region and its most significant physical statement locally to date. Both new openings are scheduled for summer 2026.
The dual signing represents Meadowhall’s third Inditex regional debut, following the launch of Bershka in late 2024. Zara also expanded its store at the centre last year, introducing its latest shop-fit as part of a major upsize.
Richard Crowther, Retail Leasing Director at British Land, said: “This double deal with Inditex, to create regional debuts for Stradivarius and Pull&Bear, is indicative of the leasing demand at Meadowhall, and its success. Last year, we exchanged on new leases covering over 300,000 sq ft, seeing £47m investment by brands alone across 2024 and 2025. 2026 will be no different, with more than 25 brands already committed, and due to bring a further £8m of investment to the centre.
“Our longstanding partnership with Inditex, which led to the opening of Bershka and Zara’s major upsize and refit in 2024, has created an environment in which the global fashion group has invested further in Meadowhall. The regional debuts for Stradivarius and Pull&Bear are evidence of that continued desire for presence at Meadowhall, from one of the biggest names in retail.”
Meadowhall celebrated its 35th anniversary in 2025 and continues to position itself as a dominant regional player. Ongoing investment from global operators such as Inditex underscores the centre’s role as a key testing ground for regional flagships outside London.
