His latest strike was a signature effort as he took a quality first touch before shifting the ball on to his right foot and curling a stunning shot into the bottom corner to wrap up a 3-0 win against Dundee.

Gassama only arrived at Rangers from Sheffield Wednesday in the summer.

But the France U20 internationalist has been repeatedly linked with a move away from the Gers.

He got his Rangers career off to a stunning start with four goals in his first four games under Russell Martin.

But the goals dried up with just three since then.

That hasn’t though deterred interest from clubs across Europe, with reports of Villarreal and Club Brugge interested in his signature.

And it’s now been claimed by Foot Mercato in France that Monaco too are keen to sign the winger.

According to the report, the Ligue 1 outfit submitted a loan offer with an obligation to buy the Light Blues ace.

The report claims that Monaco are “impressed by the speed and the attacking prowess of the PSG academy graduate”.

It’s also stated that Rangers have rejected the offer.

Danny Rohl’s men see him as a key part of the team as the title race intensifies.

The Gers are up to second in the table, four points behind leaders Hearts after a stunning transformation under Rohl.

Rangers are in no hurry to sell Gassama with the winger contracted at Ibrox until the summer of 2029.
