Texier skated on the top line at Saturday morning’s session alongside Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki. The team did not say when he incurred the injury.
Texier was named to Team France for the upcoming Olympics in Milan.
The 26-year-old has seven goals and 17 points in 30 games this season for the Habs since being signed as a free agent after he was released by the St. Louis Blues.
He then signed a two-year, $5 million contract extension earlier this month.
A native of St. Martin D’heres, France, Texier is a veteran of seven NHL seasons split between the Columbus Blue Jackets, Blues and Canadiens.
