‘Dhurandhar 2’ Now Has A Title; Watch Teaser Trailer For Indian Blockbuster Hit’s Sequel

The sequel to Hindi-language blockbuster Dhurandhar now has an official title and a teaser trailer ahead of its March 19 domestic release.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge will see Ranveer Singh returning to don his trenchcoat in a movie that will expand the franchise into an “even bigger, bolder, and more formidable cinematic universe,” per producers. Aditya Dhar returns to direct the Jio Studios and B62 Studios pic.

The spy thriller’s trailer opens with Singh in character as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, prior to when he transforms into vengeful agent Hamza. It sees him asserting control over the streets of Lyari, literally letting his hair down before the action kicks in. The new title is ultimately revealed at the end.

Some fans on the internet have criticized the teaser for appearing to reuse footage from the end of the first film.

Dhurandhar was India’s highest-grossing film of 2025 with box office of $105.25M (₹9.5B). The film also set a record as the highest-grossing Hindi-language film of all time, surpassing Stree 2, which grossed $77.33M in 2024. The pics follow Hamza has he infiltrates the Karachi underworld.

The second film releases in theatres on March 19 to coincide with Eid, Gudi Padwa, and Ugadi, and will screen in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, which the producers and distributors say represents a “strategic expansion driven by its massive demand across South India.”

Dhurandhar: The Revenge is written, directed and produced by Aditya Dhar, and produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar. The news comes on the same day Jio Studios bought an 50.1% stake in Sikhya Entertainment for ₹150 crore.
