Statewide alert sent for woman missing from Madison

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – A statewide alert was sent out Thursday for a missing woman who was last seen Wednesday afternoon in Madison, Madison Police Department said.

The Silver Alert stated a taxi picked up Nancy Curry from Oshkosh around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, and took her to the 300 block of Femrite Drive.

Police said Curry, 62, was dropped off at 4 p.m., but she never checked in.

Officials described Curry as being 4-feet-10-inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds. She has long brown hair and hazel eyes.

She was last seen wearing a black coat, slate heather grey sweatpants and sweatshirt, blue slip on shoes that look similar to Vans and dark colored glasses.

Police noted in the alert that it is unclear if her coat is a winter coat, or if it is appropriate for the weather.

Anyone who sees her was asked to call Madison Police Department at 608-266-4275.
