Manchester City needed a 2-1 win at Liverpool on Sunday to stay in touch with Premier League leaders Arsenal and recent history suggests they should get the better of Fulham at the Etihad.

The Citizens have won their last 19 games against the Londoners, who head north having lost three of their last four league games, including a 2-1 home defeat to Everton on Saturday.

Manchester City to win & both teams to score

Man City vs Fulham preview

Manchester City could have virtually kissed goodbye to the Premier League title had they not scored two late goals to win at Anfield on Sunday, but they should have an easier time against Fulham, who have lost three of their last four matches.

However, after the pair shared nine goals at Craven Cottage in December, there looks a strong chance that there will be goals at both ends at the Etihad.

Fulham have not avoided defeat against City since 2011 and while they have won at Tottenham, Burnley and West Ham, this is plainly a tougher assignment for the Londoners, even though they gave United a real scare across the city a couple of weeks ago, when they fought back form two goals down only to be denied by an injury-time winner.

A 2-1 loss to Everton on Saturday was a further setback for a team who look destined to finish mid-table, but they can score, just as they have in 13 of their last 14 matches.

City’s last home game was a routine 2-0 success over bottom-of-the-table Wolves, but they have kept just three clean sheets in their last 11 games.

Finding a route to goal has not been a big problem even though Erling Haaland scored just his second goal in eight outings in the Anfield win. But Fulham have little to lose and could pose a few problems, so doubling the City win by backing both teams to score as well appears to make sense.

Samuel Chukwueze to have a shot on target

Fulham’s Nigerian winger scored twice in the 5-4 defeat to City in the reverse fixture and can test Gianluigi Donnarumma after having an effort on goal in six of his last seven appearances.

Over 2.5 goals

Just one of the Cottagers’ last seven games has failed to generate at least three goals and we could be treated to another thriller after this pair shared nine goals in December.

Jorge Cuenca to be booked

The Fulham central defender has been booked in six of his last ten appearances and faces a difficult evening dealing with Erling Haaland.
