U.S. figure skater Amber Glenn dated fellow Olympic champion.

All eyes are on Amber Glenn as she competes in the women’s individual figure skating competition at the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Glenn, who identifies as pansexual and bisexual, is the first openly queer female figure skater to represent the U.S. in the Olympic Games. The 26-year-old, who won her first gold medal in the team figure skating event, says coming out propelled her as an athlete.

“The stories I’ve been told that something I did, something I said, and being who I am publicly, unapologetically has helped them feel better, that outweighs any sort of backlash or anything that could ever come negatively from me being who I am,” she told TODAY in June.

“It’s one of the reasons why I kept skating even when I might not have been seeing the results I wanted.”

Glenn, the first woman since Michelle Kwan to win three U.S. National titles, looks to bring home the first Olympic medal in figure skating since Sasha Cohen won silver in 2006. Amid her Olympic journey, fans want to know more about the star’s personal life.

If Glenn is currently in a relationship, she’s successfully kept it from the public eye. The Plano, Texas native appears to be single.

Nearly a decade ago, however, she dated a familiar face — none other than Nathan Chen, who won the gold medal in the men’s individual skating competition at the 2022 Winter Olympics. In February 2016, they openly shared their love on X.

“@nathanwchen love and miss you too?,” Glenn posted. “@AmberGlenn_ aw I love you more than anything❤️ I miss you,” Nathan wrote. Glenn also posted a photo of herself with flowers and an “I love you” balloon. “A little late but thank you @nathanwchen for making my Valentine’s Day special❤??,” she wrote.

Ice Network reported on the couple attended the 2016 U.S. Figure Skating Championships as spectators together that July. “A lot of U.S. skaters who weren’t competing came to watch, and Glenn and her boyfriend, Nathan Chen, enjoyed getting to hang out with everyone in the stands,” that article said.

The young couple, however, parted ways some time before the 2018 Winter Olympics. Chen, 26, is no longer competing. He attended Yale University after winning gold and is applying to med school to pursue a career in medicine.

“I just want to open doors to kind of see what’s the best sort of approach for me,” Chen told The Los Angeles Times. “And frankly, at this point in time in my life, I’ve already accomplished enough in skating that I’m quite satisfied with my career.”
