Preview: Blackburn Rovers (A)

Bristol City hit the road and head to Ewood Park as they take on Blackburn Rovers, eyeing three points following a narrow 1-0 defeat at Swansea City last time out.
The Jacks’ Zan Vipotnik scored the only goal of the game, edging his side over the line after a closely contested fixture.
Gerhard Struber made five changes to his side, handing Delano Burgzorg and Noah Eile their full debuts and bringing Sinclair Armstrong, Jason Knight and George Earhty in from the start.
Saturday’s defeat sees the Robins down to 12th place in the Sky Bet Championship, but still only four points from sixth place.
Defender Rob Atkinson and Head Coach Struber both rued missed chances and say City must be more ‘ruthless’ and ‘clinical’ moving forward.
Pay on the night will not be available for away supporters with all the action available in the UK on Sky Sports +, while overseas Reds can watch all the action live on Robins TV, with pre-match build-up starting at 7.15pm.
As the fixtures come thick and fast, City will then host Watford on Friday, February 27th at 8pm.
OUR OPPONENTS: BLACKBURN ROVERS
Tuesday’s hosts find themselves in 20th place after 33 games, with 10 wins, eight draws and 15 defeats to their name.
The club parted ways with former Head Coach Valérien Ismaël in early February after enduring a difficult spell in charge.
Damien Johnson took charge temporarily before Michael O’Neill was appointed on a short-term deal, until the end of the season.
O’Neill is off to a perfect start, earning back-to-back victories, firstly away to Queens Park Rangers and most recently a 1-0 win over local rivals Preston North End at home.
Currently five points clear of the relegation zone, Rovers will be hoping to maintain their good form and solidify their place in the division.

ONE TO WATCH: YŪKI ŌHASHI
Born in Matsudo, Japan, Yuki Ōhashi began his senior career at Japanese side Shonan Bellmare, playing in the J1 League – Japan’s top division.
Here, Ōhashi made 90 appearances and scored 20 goals before switching to rival side Sanfrecce Hiroshima.
The forward made the move to English Football in July 2024, signing for Blackburn Rovers on a three-year deal.
The Japanese international opened his account, scoring on debut in a 4-2 win over Derby County.
Notably, Ōhashi scored twice in Rovers’ win over Bristol City last season, earning a club Goal of the Season nomination for one of the goals.
After a hugely successful first season, Ōhashi won the club’s Golden Boot after scoring 10 goals and helping his side to a 7th-place finish, narrowly missing out on play-off football.
This season, the forward has featured in every single league game and has scored seven goals and had one assist.
Ōhashi scored the all-important goal last time out, ending his 12-game goal drought with a 95th-minute winner to dramatically claim maximum points against Preston North End.
