A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found dead at a hotel in Tenerife last month.
Russell Watts, 63, from Rotherham, was found in his room at the Hotel Catalonia Punta Del Rey in the Candelaria area of the the Spanish holiday island on 10 January.
South Yorkshire Police said the 56-year-old woman, from the Rotherham area, was arrested on Wednesday and remained in custody.
Det Ch Insp Ben Wood said it was a “complex case” and that officers wanted to hear from anyone staying in the hotel around the time of the death.
