Blues F Joseph, Kraken F Kartye placed on waivers

The St. Louis Blues placed forward Mathieu Joseph on waivers Thursday as Dylan Holloway was activated off injured reserve.
Joseph, 29, has two goals and 11 points in 39 games this season. He carries a cap hit of $2.95 million on his expiring contract as he approaches unrestricted free agency.
Joseph posted four goals and 14 points in 60 games last season after finishing with 11 goals and a career-high 35 points in 72 games with the Ottawa Senators in 2023-24.
A fourth-round pick of the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2015, Joseph has 61 goals and 160 points in 459 career NHL games.
The Blues officially activated Dylan Holloway from IR, and designated Mathieu Joseph non-roster. That just means he won’t be on the roster as he goes through waivers this afternoon through tomorrow.

Holloway has been out since Jan. 18 with a lower-body injury. The 24-year-old winger has eight goals and 17 points in 34 games this season.
The Blues will host the Seattle Kraken on Thursday in their first game back from the Olympic break. St. Louis is second-last in the Western Conference, 14 points back of the final playoff spot.
The Kraken were also involved in waiver activity Thursday, placing forward Tye Kartye on waivers.
The 24-year-old winger has three goals and eight points in 40 games this season. He posted a career-best 11 goals and 20 points in 77 games in 2023-24.
