Son of ‘Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’ star dies in apparent overdose

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — The son of “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Mary Cosby died of an apparent overdose.
Spokesperson Sgt. Greg Wilking from the Salt Lake City Police Department said officers responded to reports of an overdose Monday.
The incident turned into a death investigation after police arrived.
Additional details were not available.
Wilking identified the victim as Robert Cosby, Jr.
Mary Cosby is a longtime cast member of Bravo’s reality series “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” which follows the personal and professional lives of several Utah women.
She is also a Pentecostal church leader in Salt Lake.
Cosby has been a cast member of the reality show since it premiered in 2020. She appeared as a full-time housewife in the early seasons and returned to the series in later seasons as part of the cast.
She issued a statement on her Instagram page Wednesday afternoon.
“Our beloved son Robert Jr. has been called home to the Lord,” Cosby’s statement read. “Though our heart ache, we take comfort in God’s promise and in knowing he is finally at peace and trust in the Lord to carry us through this time of sorrow.”
