A UK automotive manufacturing firm that provides components to leading international brands has collapsed into administration.
WCM Europe Ltd, which focuses on designing and manufacturing plastic parts and automotive systems, has brought in administrators following financial troubles.
According to a notice issued in The London Gazette, the business was assigned a joint administrator on March 4, 2026, by the High Court of Justice’s Business and Property Courts in Birmingham.
The firm, headquartered in Nottingham and operating from its main trading site in Basildon, Essex, produces automotive parts using cutting-edge manufacturing methods and collaborates with leading vehicle makers and suppliers.
WCM Europe positions itself as a “world-class manufacturing” enterprise that merges engineering and production to create groundbreaking automotive solutions.

The firm’s corporate framework encompasses six specialised divisions that collectively provide a comprehensive product development service for automotive brands launching new parts, assemblies and systems to the international marketplace.
Its production processes are engineered to swiftly manufacture components for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier 1 suppliers within the automotive sector, reports the Express.
The administration procedure puts authority of the firm into the possession of insolvency specialists, who will evaluate the enterprise and examine possibilities including reorganisation, a disposal of the business or its holdings, or shutdown if a rescue becomes unfeasible.
WCM Europe’s commercial activities encompass the production of plastic automotive parts and cold forming or folding techniques utilised in sophisticated vehicle manufacturing.
It stays uncertain how many staff members might be impacted by the administration or whether activities at the Basildon facility will persist whilst administrators examine the firm’s prospects.
Interpath Advisory, the company managing the administration, has not yet issued additional information regarding the factors contributing to the collapse.
