WNBA All-Star Arike Ogunbowale arrested in Miami nightclub incident during Unrivaled celebration

Arike Ogunbowale’s Unrivaled championship celebration took a turn.
The Mist scorer and WNBA All-Star was arrested following an alleged physical altercation at Miami club E11EVEN on Thursday.
Ogunbowale was being escorted out of the club after an earlier incident when she punched a security staffer in the face with a closed fist.

The Dallas Wings scorer was taken into custody and faces charges of first-degree misdemeanor battery.
“The Wings are aware of an incident involving Arike Ogunbowale and are in the process of gathering more information,” the WNBA club said in a statement. “Further comments will be provided once we have more details.”
Ogunbowale scored 19 points in the Mist’s 80-74 win over the top-seeded Phantom on Wednesday.
A four-time WNBA All-Star with the Wings, the 29-year-old led the league in scoring in 2020.
She is an unrestricted free agent as the WNBA’s CBA talks continue.
