The Washington Mystics aren’t expected to do much more this season than try to develop for the future.
As the youngest team in the WNBA for the second year in a row, the Mystics have nine rookies on their 14-player roster. Their most experienced veteran, Michaela Onyenwere, is 26 and has been in the league for five years. They haven’t made the playoffs since 2023, and most predictions say that trend will continue this season.
