NJ Transit suspended between Newark Penn Station and NY Penn Station due to Amtrak overhead wire issues

NEW JERSEY (WABC) — Despite the work being completed on the Portal Bridge project, it’s a rough morning commute for New Jerseyans.
Due to Amtrak overhead wire issues at the Portal Bridge, NJ Transit is suspended in both directions between Newark Penn Station and Penn Station New York.
Meantime Amtrak customers were also warned that they may experience lengthy delays and cancellations due to a power outage.
The advisory reports, “Delays continue for all services traveling between New York (NYP) and Philadelphia (PHL) due to ongoing structural maintenance in the area. Trains may experience delays of up to approx. 25mins. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.”

If you were hoping to drive, the situation on the George Washington Bridge was not much better, with delays of 100 minutes due to construction.
