If you thought Emma Stone’s purple slip dress and matching cardigan at the Actor Awards was buzzy, you are not prepared for her 2026 Oscars gown. The Bugonia star hit the Academy Awards red carpet wearing a liquid silver dress that looks like it was literally poured onto her.

Emma is nominated for Best Actress for Bugonia,a category she shares with Jessie Buckley for Hamnet, Rose Byrne for If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, Kate Hudson for Song Sung Blue, and Renate Reinsve for Sentimental Value.
Emma is no stranger to an Oscar nomination, but she spoke about how much being nominated for Bugonia meant to her in a statement, saying, “Thank you to the Academy for these nominations and to everyone who poured their hearts into Bugonia. None of this exists without our director, Yorgos. I am forever grateful for our creative partnership and friendship. I share this recognition with the beyond brilliant Jesse Plemons and our remarkable cast, crew, and producers. FYI, Emma broke an Oscar record with her Bugonia nomination, becoming the youngest woman in history to receive seven Oscar nominations. (The record was previously held by Meryl Streep, who still holds the records for most nominations ever at age 21).
