Just like Friday, the Windsor-Essex, Chatham-Kent and Sarnia-Lambton region is in store for another day of very strong winds, according to Environment Canada.
A yellow warning for wind has been issued by the the federal weather agency.
It says gusts up to 90 km/h are possible in the morning and afternoon Monday.
Strong southwest winds are expected to blow around in the morning with a passing cold weather front.
Then, expect the winds to shift to the west and ease a bit in the afternoon.
Westerly winds, touching nearly 70 km/h, could continue into Tuesday morning, says Environment Canada.
It’s recommended you secure loose objects on your property. Local utility outages could also occur, with a chance for damaged roofs, fences and branches.
Lake Erie shoreline advisory
The strong winds are once again prompting the Essex Region Conservation Authority (ERCA) to put out an advisory as it relates to Lake Erie’s shoreline — particularly on Pelee Island.
The Shoreline Conditions Statement is in place until Tuesday.
Lake levels are lower compared to previous years, but there is a concern for some damage with direct wave impact on shoreline structures and debris being thrown.
ERCA says there remains some risk of flooding and accelerated nearshore erosion along the Lake Erie shoreline including south Pelee Island as a result of increased wave activity.
