Trevor Siemian, now entering his 12th season in the NFL, has found a home for the 2026 campaign.
After previously signing Tua Tagovailoa during NFL free agency, the Atlanta Falcons are now signing veteran quarterback Trevor Siemian, ESPN first reported on Tuesday (via Falcons Wire). Michael Penix is still recovering from an ACL injury, so Siemian will give Atlanta more depth at the position.

Siemian, 34, entered the league as a seventh-round pick out of Northwestern with the Denver Broncos in 2015. He was a reserve third-string quarterback behind Peyton Manning and Brock Osweiler as a rookie, winning a Super Bowl ring as the club’s QB3.
After Manning retired and Osweiler left in free agency following the Super Bowl, Siemian beat out first-round draft pick Paxton Lynch and veteran Mark Sanchez for the starting job. He went 13-11 as a starter with the Broncos over the next two seasons before being traded to the Minnesota Vikings in 2018.
Siemian spent time with six other NFL teams after leaving Denver, and the Falcons will now be his eighth club. A veteran journeyman backup since his time with the Broncos, Siemian has a 15-18 career win-loss record.
