Dollywood adds another race weekend for runners. When, how to sign up

Dollywood has hit the ground running for the start of its 41st season – literally.
The theme park is gearing up for its first-ever race weekend. But even while counting down until the spring event, Dollywood has announced dates for a second Run Dollywood race weekend, this one in the fall.
“I’m an avid runner myself,” Dollywood President Eugene Naughton said in a news release. “We can’t wait for everyone to experience this one-of-a-kind course, complete with live music, on-course entertainment, and those special Dollywood surprises that make every step memorable.”
The spring race lineup includes the marquee half-marathon, plus companion races.
The race events are part of the park’s efforts to expand guest experiences at Dollywood.
Can you still sign up for Dollywood’s spring marathon?
An “extremely limited number of race entries” are still available for the half-marathon, according to Dollywood. Registration for the one-mile kids’ run is still available, too.
The inaugural Run Dollywood race weekend is April 25-26. The course will take runners through Wildwood Grove, Craftsman’s Valley, Timber Canyon and other scenic routes.
The main event is a half-marathon the morning of April 26. Companion events including 5K and 10K races and the one-mile race for kids are on the morning of April 25.
Fees for remaining event entries range from $27.50 to $197.10 as of March 26. Registration is open now at dollywood.com.
When is Dollywood’s fall marathon?
The newly announced fall race weekend is Sept. 26-27. The fall race will be during the park’s popular Harvest Festival.
Details are being finalized, and registration information will be available soon at Dollywood.com/RunDollywood. Interested runners can fill out a form on the Run Dollywood page to receive information and updates via email.
