WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol confirms one person is dead after they were struck by a bus carrying the Oklahoma State softball team.
OHP said the accident happened around 2 p.m. on Wednesday on I-35 NB near mile marker 186, near Perry, Okla.
“What we know at this time is that witnesses stated a pedestrian was running in and out of traffic when she was struck by the bus,” said Lt. Mark Southall with the OHP.
The team was heading to Kansas to play Wichita State at Wilkins Stadium Wednesday night. That game has been postponed.
OSU confirmed that no one from its travel party was injured.
