Ryan Thomas has responded to being accused of using AI as he took to social media with a ‘proper Manc’ snap with Oasis star Noel Gallagher.
The presenter and actor, who shot to fame playing Jason Grimshaw in Coronation Street, was among the famous faces who watched Deontay Wilder defeat Derek Chisora in a split decision at the O2 Arena on Saturday night (April 4).
Ryan was also seen alongside Antony Joshua, who made his first public appearance since the death of close friends Sina Ghami and Latif ‘Latz’ Ayodele in December, after he arrived at the London venue with Eddie Hearn to support Chisora.

In a dramatic 50th bout of his eventful professional career, Chisora couldn’t claim one last victory after the judges scored the bout 115-111, 112-115 and 115-113 in favour of Wilder.
Ryan was at the arena to watch the action unfold, and later took to Instagram as he bumped into another Manchester native, musician Noel. “Proper Manc,” he captioned the snap with a boxing glove emoji.
However, it didn’t seem that everyone believed the photo to be real, and accused the former soap star of using AI to mock up the image – which Ryan denied. While some don’t know if he is telling the truth, the Oasis legend was present at the Dereck Chisora v Deontay Wilder: 100 fight night.

@lotte.grace.r asked: “That pic AI or real??” to which Ryan responded with a string of crying laughing emojis. @sarah__2404 then said: “Can people really not see this is AI?” as Ryan replied: “it’s not [crying laughing emoji].” @misslynsay wrote: “This has to be AI.” @nasra90123 posted: “That’s Al babe!!!”
But in his defence, @bexiboo40xx added: “Why are people even thinking Ryan would make a AI photo gosh what is wrong with people.”
Meanwhile, Ryan recently opened up about his life-changing diagnosis for the first time, saying he hadn’t spoken about it before as he felt ’embarrassed’. The 41-year-old shared how he had been diagnosed with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) after his fiancée Lucy Mecklenburgh would tell him that he was losing his phone, not listening to conversations and misplacing his belongings.
Speaking with brothers Adam and Scott on the At Home With The Thomas Bro’s podcast, the 41-year-old said: “ADHD for me has been a big problem and I’ve not actually spoke about it yet because If I’m really honest, I was quite embarrassed that I had ADHD.
“It felt like I had a condition and growing up, as kids, ADHD, I don’t feel like, was ever a thing – or it was loosely spoke about. So then obviously there’s loads of things that Lucy kept telling me about, you know, losing my phone and I was, you know, not listening to conversations and, you know, misplacing stuff and there was just loads of things that she said to me about ADHD that I thought I had.
“So I was like, okay, what am I going to lose here by being like, you know, assessed by a doctor to see if I have it that a medication that might really like help my everyday life because I was feeling like quite overwhelmed with having to search for my car keys all the time, Lucy having to go to school on the school run in an Uber because I can’t find them.
“This is happening all the time and it was just like it was stressful for the family. It was stressful for me and I thought, you know what, I’m going to bite the bullet.”
