Oilers’ Max Jones suffers left leg injury vs. Kings

The Edmonton Oilers have lost a depth forward to injury just a week before the playoffs begin.
Forward Max Jones exited Saturday’s contest in the first period against the Los Angeles Kings with an apparent left leg injury.
Jones needed assistance getting off the ice and down the tunnel after laying a hit against the boards. He struggled to put much weight on the injured leg and was ruled out for the remainder of the game early in the second period.
The 28-year-old was acquired by the Oilers ahead of the trade deadline last year. Between last season and this one, Jones suited up in 40 regular season games for Edmonton, posting four goals and three assists.
In the 2025-26 campaign, the forward logged three goals and two helpers in 21 contests.
The Oilers need one point against Los Angeles to lock up a spot in the post-season.
