‘I believe completely’ – Dominik Szoboszlai previews Liverpool v PSG second leg

On the role Anfield could play against PSG…
Anfield is going to make a big impact tomorrow. We saw it many times during this season, last season and in the past, for sure. So yeah, it’s going to be not only 11 players or the subs who come in. It’s going to be the whole stadium. We know what it feels like, how it feels to be playing for Liverpool, playing in front of these fans and playing in Anfield. I think we don’t need any more motivation. We know what it feels.
On what needs to change for Liverpool in the match compared to last week…
Now we can talk about tactics and stuff, but I’m not going to open it up publicly. It’s going to be a different game, for sure. We’re going to do different stuff in a different way. We saw what they have done in the first game and we will try to manage it now not to happen.
We need to go all in and we need to give everything what is possible. At the end of the game if you say to yourself you gave everything and still we didn’t go through, then you can still keep your chin up and say we tried it. As I said, we do really [need] everybody [for] what we have to do. I still surely believe there is a big opportunity tomorrow.
On whether he would feel comfortable within the team taking on more of a leadership role in future…
I think yes. I’m captaining the national team since four or five years [ago] so I have a little bit of experience [with] how to deal with it. But as long as we have these kind of players like Mo [Salah], Robbo [Andy Robertson], Virgil [van Dijk], Ali [Becker], Joey [Gomez], we have enough experienced players [this season]. But if they need help from the young ones, who are not that young anymore, then I’m happy to help them.
I’m happy to take responsibility even more and be there for them, maybe to be the connection between them and even the younger [players]. I’m happy to do it and if they need me, they know I’m really happy to do it.
