On Wednesday, The Real Housewives of Miami star Lisa Hochstein turned herself in after being hit with criminal charges for allegedly spying on her ex-husband. Hochstein was photographed by “Page Six” arriving at a jail in Miami, where she was accompanied by her attorney, Jayne Weintraub. According to jail records, she has been charged with one felony count of interception of wire, oral, or electronic communication. In a statement to The Cut, Weintraub said Hochstein “voluntarily turned herself in” and “will be released on her own recognizance.”

“This matter is part of a contentious divorce proceeding and does not belong in criminal court,” she added, seemingly referring to Lisa’s divorce from her ex-husband, famed plastic surgeon Lenny Hochstein, which was finalized in 2024 after over a decade of marriage.

The charges stem from allegations Lenny made against Lisa in 2023, in the middle of their long and bitter divorce proceedings. (Lenny first filed for divorce in 2022.) In May 2023, he accused Lisa of planting a “listening device” on his car so she could “monitor” his calls, “Page Six” reported at the time.

It’s unclear why authorities decided to charge Lisa now. Per NBC Miami, Lenny reported finding a digital audio recorder in his car to the Miami Beach Police at some point, and authorities started investigating the case. In court records obtained by Florida news station WPLG, prosecutors determined that, in March 2023, Lisa “did unlawfully and intentionally intercept, endeavor to intercept, or procure another person to intercept or endeavor to intercept … oral statements” made by Lenny.

Lisa’s ex-boyfriend, Jody Glidden — whom she dated between February 2023 and January 2026 — is facing the same charges. According to NBC Miami, Glidden is accused of purchasing the recording device believed to have been planted on Lenny’s car, which Lenny said he found inside the vehicle after Lisa borrowed it. Lisa and Glidden could allegedly be heard conversing in a recording police found on the device. Glidden was taken into custody on Sunday, per People, and pleaded not guilty to one count of interception of wire, oral, or electronic communication. He was released shortly after on $5,000 bond.

In a statement to “Page Six” on Wednesday, Lisa said she has never heard of anybody who “has been charged with eavesdropping in Miami history.” “I don’t want to let anyone distract me from my big divorce case this month,” she said. (Again, this appears to be a reference to her divorce from Lenny.) “I’m focused on the well-being of my children, who have been through enough.”
