NFL reporter Crissy Froyd celebrated Dianna Russini’s resignation amid scandal. “Don’t let the door hit you on the way out,” she wrote on X.

While people like Jemele Hill are calling out a purported “double standard” regarding how Dianna Russini has been treated, Crissy Froyd has taken a completely different stance on the issue.

Russini felt the need to resign from her job at The Athletic earlier this week in the wake of photos of her locking fingers, hugging, and hanging out in a hot tub at an adults-only resort in Arizona with Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel making the rounds on the internet.

Both Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel denied the allegations that they were doing anything inappropriate. In her resignation letter, Russini claimed that she has “covered the NFL with professionalism.”

Crissy Froyd makes several troubling allegations against Dianna Russini

“I’m sure you were told to submit this or that you’d get fired instead,” Froyd wrote on X in response to Russini’s resignation letter. “Don’t let the door hit you on the way out. We know who you really are and what you’ve been up to for years. It does so much detriment to women in sports who have done things the right way.”

Crissy Froyd later confirmed her feelings about Dianna Russini in an interview with the Daily Caller.

“I want to first of all say that I am so thankful an outlet does have the audacity to do a story on Dianna Russini being called out,” Froyd said. “She deserves to have been, and all of us do know what she’s been up to.

“From fights with other reporters in Chili’s parking lots about hooking up with married NFL coaches to everything else, it is almost certainly all true. It was the worst kept secret in the NFL reporting world for a while.

“Someone once propositioned me to have Dianna potentially be my mentor. I declined because I knew what she was about and her track record.”

Crissy Froyd went on to drop another bombshell allegation about Dianna Russini

“I can honestly say I have never slept with a player or coach for professional gain,” she said. “Dianna cannot say the same.”

Froyd, who graduated from LSU in 2021, did admit that she had a relationship with former quarterback J.T. Daniels, but that it didn’t begin “until after he was out of football.”

Daniels played college football from 2018 to 2023 for USC, Georgia (where he won the CFP national championship as a backup to Stetson Bennett), West Virginia, and Rice.

She also expressed disappointment with Mike Vrabel, writing, “Since it seems to have not been taken correctly — I equally despise Mike Vrabel for his behavior. As someone who covered the Titans for years, even on the ground as a hopeful teenager in Nissan Stadium, I am absolutely distraught at his actions after I used to look up to him.”
