  • Greater Manchester is set for a typical April weekend of sunshine and showers.
  • Saturday will start cloudy with “scattered showers on a brisk wind” according to the Met Office. These will become less frequent as the day progresses with brighter spells expected.
  • North westerly gusts up to 26mph will make it feel colder, with temperatures around 12C by mid-afternoon. Maximum temperatures will reach 15C according to the Met Office.
  • Pollen levels are moderate for hay fever sufferers.
  • Saturday evening will see showers disappear with the region becoming dry and clear. However, mist and fog patches may make it feel chillier with minimum temperatures around 3C.
  • Sunday morning’s mist and fog will clear quickly, bringing dry sunny spells initially. Cloud will increase in the afternoon with maximum temperatures around 14C.
  • Looking ahead, the Met Office says “Largely cloudy with drizzly showers on Monday” before “turning drier and brighter from Tuesday with temperatures around the seasonal average.”
