Penta’s insane ladder match blew away everything from night one of WrestleMania 42

Night two of WrestleMania 42 featured a fast-paced 6-man ladder match for Penta’s Intercontinental championship.

This match took place during the first hour of the show that aired on ESPN proper, so I guess there wasn’t enough TV time to broadcast the entrances of JD McDonagh, Rusev, and Dragon Lee. The immediate message sent is that these guys have no chance to win.

After Rey Mysterio and Je’Von Evans made their entrances, the champ looked like a badass when he came out as Mortal Kombat’s Shao Khan.

Je’Von provided a highlight reel of spots throughout the bout, including this thrilling leap to knock JD off the ladder.

The legendary Mysterio spiced up his signature 619 on Dragon Lee with a ladder.

I first thought the “Holy Shit!” spot of the match was going to be this ladder-breaking launch of Mysterio onto Rusev.

But then Penta practically killed McDonagh with this Mexican Destroyer onto a ladder.

Not to be outdone, Je’Von pulled off maybe the greatest OG Cutter of his young career, after Rusev yanked him down while he was hanging from the belt.

Penta came back in for one more ladder-assisted Mexican Destroyer on Evans, and that bought him enough time to climb the ladder and secure the title for the win.

Now that’s how you pull off an incredible spot fest, and I’d say it blew away everything that was on the card on night one of WrestleMania 42. Wow!
