Sydney Sweeney Cut From ‘Devil Wears Prada 2’

Sydney Sweeney is such the talk of the town lately, she’s making headlines for movies she’s not in.
The Euphoria and Housemaid star shot a scene for The Devil Wears Prada 2 that has been cut from the film, Entertainment Weekly first reported.
Sweeney was previously spotted headed to the set last year, spawning speculation that she would appear in the highly anticipated sequel.
The actress played herself in a reported three-minute scene that was part of the re-introduction of Emily Blunt’s character, Emily Charlton, early in the film. In the scene, Charlton was dressing a celebrity client — Sweeney. The scene reportedly did not mesh with the rest of the film’s opening and was removed from the Disney film.
Sweeney has been heavily discussed in recent weeks thanks to her return in HBO’s Euphoria season three with a provocative storyline where her character, Cassie, makes fetish content for OnlyFans in order to pay for her dream wedding.
She’s also returned as the face of American Eagle jeans, which launched a new shorts campaign with the actress.
Sweeney is coming off the success of Paul Feig’s December hit The Housemaid, which has grossed nearly $400 million globally for Lionsgate and quickly triggered a greenlit sequel.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 stars Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Blunt and Stanley Tucci and has Streep’s Miranda Priestly still at the top of Runway magazine, as Andy Sachs (Hathaway) returns as features editor and they face off against Priestly’s former assistant turned rival Emily (Blunt). The Devil Wears Prada 2 hits theaters May 1.
Disney and Sweeney’s rep had no immediate comment.
