KC Concepcion draft profile: Positional WR rankings, scouting report for Texas A&M star

COLLEGE STATION — Perhaps the first of many Texas A&M football players to hear their name called this week will be KC Concepcion.
Concepcion has been seen as a top-40 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft after a stellar junior year. He played in what was viewed as a run-first offense — until Aggies quarterback Marcel Reed, Concepcion and fellow transfer wideout Mario Craver changed that. A former North Carolina State wideout, Concepcion was a game-breaker.

He made plays out wide, out of the slot and after the catch. He was also an All-American punt returner, who scored two touchdowns on special teams.

KC Concepcion scouting report
Strengths:Change of direction and shiftiness. Any time he touches the football, there is a chance he can go the distance. Very strong for his size and welcomes contact. Smart route runner who understands leverage and how to find open space. Wider catch radius than some may expect.
Weaknesses:Will be dinged by scouts for being undersized. Projects more as a slot guy at the next level and may need to show his ability to be impactful at multiple positions to move up the draft board.

What our reporter noticed:Concepcion made clutch plays and showed true No. 1 potential as a wideout, but what stands out is his character. Concepcion dealt with a speech impediment that hindered his public speaking. Despite that, Concepcion always embraced his time in media scrums, shook everyone’s hand before and after and showed confidence while doing so. Very good makeup when combined with his on-field play.
