FSU football’s Darrell Jackson talks Pro Day, NFL Draft prep
- Florida State football is expected to continue its NFL Draft streak, which dates back to 1984.
- Defensive tackle Darrell Jackson is projected to be selected in the 2026 NFL Draft.
- Other draft-eligible Seminoles are likely to sign as undrafted free agents.
Florida State football has produced an NFL Draft pick every year since 1984, and that run is set to continue in the 2026 NFL Draft, which begins on Thursday, April 23, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
While the Seminoles aren’t projected to have anyone selected in the first two rounds of the draft, defensive tackle Darrell Jackson is mocked to be selected anywhere from the third to fifth round of the draft. He could be the only draft pick for the program.
The draft eligible prospects for FSU include quarterback Tommy Castellanos, offensive lineman Micah Pettus, and defensive back Jerry Wilson, among others. But they are more likely to sign as free agents after the conclusion of the draft on Saturday.
The Seminoles program has produced over 300 drafted players in the team’s history. Head coach Mike Norvell has had 18 draft picks during his tenure with the Seminoles and is guaranteed at least one more in the 2026 NFL Draft with Jackson.
