UFC Fight Night 274: Sterling vs. Zalal results of every fight

UFC Fight Night 274 (Paramount+) takes place Saturday, and you can join us for live round-by-round coverage and official results beginning at 5 p.m. ET (2 p.m. PT). UFC Fight Night 274 takes place at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas.
Former bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling (25-5 MMA, 17-5 UFC) takes on Youssef Zalal (18-5-1 MMA, 8-3-1 UFC) in the featherweight main event. Additionally, Norma Dumont (13-2 MMA, 9-2 UFC) meets Joselyne Edwards (17-6 MMA, 8-4 UFC) in the women’s bantamweight co-feature.

Round 1 – They get right into the action, trading punches and kicks. Martinetti controls from the center as Grant strikes from the outside. Grant mixes up his targets, going high, low and to the body. Martinetti kicks the legs and body. Grant catches a kick and shoves Martinetti to the canvas, but doesn’t go to the ground. Grant adds more kicks to the body. There’s a nice combo upstairs from Grant. Another stiff punch lands for Grant, and he’s in and out quickly. Martinetti comes forward, but Grant attacks first. More leg kicks from Grant now. Martinetti comes forward with a right hand. Grant gets the better of another exchange. Martinetti spins with a kick to the body. Martinetti shoots in for a takedown, but gets denied. Grant lands a punch into leg kick combo. And again. Grant keeps beating Martinetti to the punch. 10-9 Grant.

Raoni Barcelos vs. Montel Jackson
Round 1 – They touch gloves and Jackson takes the center. Jackson kicks to the body and down goes Barcelos! Jackson swarms with punches for the finish! Barcelos grabs an ankle lock, but Jackson keeps punching. Barcelos gives up on it, and scrambles up to a double leg attempt. They eventually separate, and Jackson gets back to landing sharp punches. Barcelos catches a kick to score a takedown. Jackson threatens a triangle from his back, and Barcelos lifts him for a slam. Jackson scrambles to his feet, but still has Barcelos on his hips. Back in space now. Barcelos scores a nice takedown, nearly taking the back. Barcelos slaps on a choke, but Jackson doesn’t seem too concerned. 10-9 Jackson.
Round 2 – Barcelos comes out with a kick to the body. Jackson lands a left. An inside leg kick scores for Jackson as Barcelos looks to land upstairs. Barcelos turns up the forward pressure and he looks for the takedown, but Jackson isn’t having it. Barcelos looks for another, but is denied initially. After adjusting, Barcelos gets the single leg, but, Jackson pops back up instantly. Back to the center. Barcelos lands a nice calf kick. Jackson punches as Barcelos hunts for another single leg, which he eventually completes with a minute to go. Barcelos gets to full mount and lands a few punches. He floats over to the back as Jackson tries to explode. Barcelos slaps on a rear-naked choke, but the horn sounds. 10-9 Barcelos.
Round 3 – Barcelos quickly looks for a single leg, but can’t get it. Jackson gets the separation to return to the center. Barcelos lands a nice right. Jackson responds with a 1-2. Barcelos looks for another single leg and gets the takedown from a trip. Jackson explodes to his feet, but Barcelos is still attached. Jackson sneaks in a nice knee to the head, but Barcelos is unfazed. They separate again. Jackson offers a high front kick. Barcelos lands a right. Barcelos gets another takedown, but can’t keep Jackson on the mat. He stays attached, looking for another single leg. Barcelos lands a head kick. Jackson gets free. Barcelos gets Jackson down again and threatens another choke before the final horn. 10-9 Barcelos. He takes the fight 29-28.

Marcus Buchecha vs. Ryan Spann
Round 1 – They touch ’em up and Spann gets it going wit ha quick jab. Buchecha answers wit ha hard leg kick. Spann throws a 1-2 and gets poked, but doesn’t want the break in action. Buchecha shoots in, and Spann nearly slaps on a choke. He floats over well and stays on top, but Buchecha scrambles up just to score another takedown attempt. Buchecha nearly takes the back, but loses the position. We’re back on the feet now. Spann takes a deep breath before re-engaging. Buchecha dives at the legs. Spann sprawls and lands an uppercut. Spann keeps heavy pressure from the top, and rotates to a front headlock. Spann knees to the body before backing off to make Buchecha stand. Spann kicks to the body. Buchecha lands a hard calf kick, and shoots in. He jumps on an ankle lock, but it’s not there. Buchecha gets up, looks for another takedown, and nearly gets caught in another choke, but he spins out. Spann controls from the top, and opts to stand up before the horn. 10-9 Spann.
Round 2 – Spann lands a nice inside leg kick. The referee pauses the fight, giving Buchecha a hard warning for leaving his fingers out. Spann notices the fingers out again, and points it out to the ref, who gives another warning. Buchecha looks for a hard right overhand. Buchecha shoots in, and Spann sprawls with another guillotine threat. Back to standing. Buchecha whiffs on a big right hand. Spann steps in with a big 3-2 combo and down goes Buchecha! It’s over! A walk-off KO! WOW!!
Eric McConico vs. Rodolfo Vieira
Round 1 – Vieira clips McConico with a hard right hand early and tries to jump on the back with a choke! The choke isn’t there. He gets too high, slides off, but now it’s an armor attempt! That’s not there either. Wild start here. They’re back on their feet. Vieira shoots right back in. McConico defends, but gives up his back while standing along the fence. Vieira gets a trip, but McConico scrambles back up quickly. Vieira controls against the cage. He kicks the leg out and takes the back as McConico rises to his feet. The separate with just over a minute left. Vieira comes forward with punches. McConico answers with a combo and adds a couple of kicks. Vieira gets back in on the hips and scores a takedown. 10-9 Vieira.
Round 2 – McConico gets things started with a nice combo early. Vieira lands a stiff right to keep him honest. McConico lands a sharp 1-2 as he turns up the pressure. There’s a head kick. McConico is turning the momentum in his favor now. Vieira punches the body. McConico lands a hard left. Vieira shoots for the double, but McConico defends. Vieira stays clinched against the fence, successfully slowing the fight down. They separate with less than a minute to go. McConico lands a combo of punches a moment before the horn. 10-9 McConico.
Round 3 – McConico pumps out the right jab. He then charges forward with more punches, but Vieira circles away. Vieira threatens a level change, resulting in a fence clinch. Vieira knees to the body nicely. Vieira drops down for the takedown attempt, but gets stuffed. McConico punches from the top before Vieira rises back up, keeping the clinch alive. Less than a minute to go now, and they separate. McConico comes forward with punches, putting Vieira on the back foot to close out the final moments of the fight. 10-9 McConico, and he takes it 29-28.

Sedriques Dumas vs. Jackson McVey
Round 1 – Straight to the action here. McVey punches his way into a clinch along the fence. They trade knees to the body in close. The ref calls for time, but both fighters say they’re good, and the fight continues. They separate, and McVey comes right back in with a sharp combo, dropping Dumas with a right hand. McVey rushes in to follow up with more punches. He opts to slap on a D’arce choke, and there’s the tap for the first finish of the night!
Michelle Montague vs. Mayra Bueno Silva
Round 1 – Montague quickly closes the distance with punches and scores an easy early takedown. In side control, Montague adds some ground and pound. MBS gets a hold of the striking arm to stop the damage, but that doesn’t last. Montague looks to isolate the arm, but goes back to elbows. MBS tries to mitigate the damage, but can’t gets off her back. Montague floats over nicely to maintain top control, evading MBS’ attempt to kick her off. Montague continues to land ground and pound. MBS gets a leg, but Montague is wise to it and easily gets back to side control. Hard elbows are dug in. MBS gets to her knees, but can’t improve from there. 10-8 Montague.
Round 2 – Montague comes forward quickly again, landing a nice 1-2. MBS counters a second charge nicely, shoving Montague into the fence. Montague resets. MBS lands a couple of body kicks. Montague blasts her with a right hand and telegraphs a takedown. MBS sprawls well, and slaps on a ninja choke. Montague appears fatigued now, but she puts together a nice combination. MBS pushes Montague into the fence, landing well to the body. MBS sprawls another takedown well, and nearly takes the back. Montague stays calm and eventually scrambles to side control. Montague stays heavy on top, but this time MBS is able to get to a favorable position on her back – but she kicks Montague while she had both knees down. The fight is paused, MBS is warned. On the restart, Montague comes forward with punches. MBS hooks to the body. Montague changes levels, but MBS defends it. They trade strikes until the horn. 10-9 MBS.
Round 3 – Punches fly early in the final round. Montague looks to have more energy now, but MBS is game to return fire. Montague shoots in and gets a nice takedown. In side control, Montague stays heavy and works to isolate an arm for a submission. MBS tries to explode and manages to take Montague’s back. MBS adds a couple of elbows. Montague stays calm, reverses the position back into side control. Montague hammers away with short elbows. MBS tries to escape again, but Montague’s tope control is too good. 10-9 Montague, and she takes the fight 29-27.

Cody Durden vs. Jafel Filho
Round 1 – Durden comes forward with early pressure as they both bounce around lightly on their feet. Durden looks for a right hand. Filho kicks to the body, which Durden catches and uses for a takedown. Filho scrambles well on the mat to take top position. Durden gets to his feet, but Filho stays attached on the back. Filho changes levels to get the fight back to the mat, but is unsuccessful. Back in space now, Filho lands a nice punch. Durden gets a takedown, postures up, and lands a couple of hard punches. Filho looks to isolate a leg, but can’t get it. 10-9 Durden.
Round 2 – Durden pressures forward again, keeping Filho on the back foot. Filho looks for a kick and Durden lands a counter right. Durden lands a nice inside leg kick. Filho steps in with a knee to the body. A moment later, he goes to it again, but gets taken down. Durden stands over Filho, looking for an opening, but then just axe kicks him in the junk. The fight is paused, and of course, there’s no point taken, because why would there be? On the restart, Filho looks for the clinch, but gets shaken off. Filho turns up the pressure, but can’t connect with his punches. A moment later, though, he gets a nice takedown with just under a minute. Filho gets the back, hunts for a choke, but it’s not there before the time expires. 10-9 Filho.
Round 3 – Durden takes the center, moving forward with punches. Filho fires back, gets a clinch and pushes Durden into the fence. They separate and let punches fly. Filho gets the better of that before Durden clinches up. Durden gets a takedown this time. Durden nearly gets the back, but Filho scrambles to separate, kicks Durden off, but he’s exhausted, lying on his back. Durden comes right back down to take control. Durden gets the back and slaps on a choke. Filho gets out, gives up his back again, and Durden adds a few punches. Durden yells out, “Four-day notice!” He punches from back control until the horn. 10-9 Durden, and he takes it 29-28.

Round 1 – They touch ’em up and jump into action with an initial exchange, which Marshall gets the better of with a right hand. Marshall lands the right again. Brennan goes to an inside kick, which nearly takes Marshall off his feet. Marshall comes back with a nice combination. Brennan shoots in, nearly gets it, but Marshall reverses the position and gets his own takedown. Brennan looks to set up a submission from the bottom, but Marshall stays heavy to prevent it. Brennan nearly sweeps from the bottom, but he grabs an ankle lock instead. Marshall stays calm, gets out of it, and resumes top control. 10-9 Marshall.
Round 2 – Marshall lands a solid right hand early. Brennan looks to land a combo, but Marshall counters with the right again. The action stalls for a moment, but Marshall steps into a solid right hand. And another. Brennan looks for the takedown, but Marshall defends and takes control of the clinch against the cage. They wrestle back and forth for position, but it’s Marshall who ends up with control and the takedown with two minutes to go. Marshall gets to side control, calmly looking to isolate an arm. It’s not there, so he adds a few short punches before the horn. 10-9 Marshall.
Round 3 – Brennan steps in with a hard kick to the body, but Marshall catches it, and trips Brennan to the canvas. Marshall allows Brennan back on his feet. Marshall lands a nice right hand. Brennand hunts for openings on the outside, but is hesitant to pull the trigger. Marshall offers a high kick, but it’s blocked. Brennan looks for a punch, but gets greeted with a hard counter right. A moment later, Marshall lands another hard right hand. Brennan just doesn’t have anything for Marshall as we approach the final minute. Marshall puts together a two-piece. Marshall continues to offer strikes while Brennan watches on the outside, and this one reaches the final horn. 10-9 Marshall, and he takes it 30-27.

Max Griffin vs. Victor Valenzuela
Round 1 – No glove touch. Griffin stalks forward as he studies Valenzuela. It’s Valenzuela who lets his hands go first, offering a quick combo. There’s not much action here as they move around looking for openings. Griffin sits on a 1-2 that Valenzuela attempts to counter. Griffin lands a nice counter punch as Valenzuela looks to land. Valenzuela shoots in but misses completely. Griffin lands a left. Another nice punch from Griffin. One minute to go. Valenzuela kicks to the legs. There’s a nice exchange. Valenzuela charges forward, looking to land again, but Griffin changes levels nicely for a takedown. Valenzuela pops up, they separate and dares Griffin to punch him. 10-9 Griffin.
Round 2 – Valenzuela comes out looking to strike first, landing a nice right. Griffin nearly spins him around wit ha calf kick. Valenzuela closes in with a punch. Valenzuela spins with a backfist, Griffin evades and gets a takedown. He slaps on a choke, but quickly lets it go. They’re back on their feet. Valenzuela punches to the body. Griffin looks to clinch but gets shaken off. Valenzuela offers a high kick. Valenzuela spins with a wheel kick, which Griffin sees coming and scores an easy takedown. Valenzuela scrambles up, and looks to get a takedown of his own with one minute left. Griffin gets back to his feet. They trade punches, Valenzuela getting the better of it. Griffin clinches, but Valenzuela shakes free. 10-9 Valenzuela.
Round 3 – Valenzuela lands a stiff 1-2 early in the final round that looks like it wobbled Griffin. Valenzuela looks to follow up with more punches, but Griffin just charges forward with a spear-like tackle. Valenzuela gets back to his feet without much trouble, and lands a right hand. Valenzuela adds a leg kick and a left hand. Griffin responds with a left hand. Valenzuela lands a right as Griffin closes in to clinch. Valenzuela turns up the pressure a bit as he stalks forward, landing punches. Griffin lands a couple of right hands. He then shoots, but gets easily stuffed. Valenzuela eats another punch before landing an uppercut. Griffin loses his balance, and Valenzuela lands a right. The momentum seems to be on Valenzuela’s side. Both fighters are showing damage and fatigue. Valenzuela lands a nice combo and points to the canvas, but not much else comes of it. 10-9 Valenzuela, and he takes the fight 29-28.

Talita Alencar vs. Julia Polastri
Round 1 – No glove touch here to kick off the night. Both patiently start here, finding the range with leg kicks and pawing jabs. It’s a slow pace. Alencar lands a nice left, then kicks high. Polastri catches a kick to the body, and fires one in of her own. Polastri darts in with a left. Alencar responds with a right hand. Midway through now. Alencar lands another punch as Polastri circles. Polastri lands a few strikes as she begins to open up, but Alencar lands a clean punch before looking for the clinch. They separate, but Alencar catches a kick and gets Polastri to the mat. Polastri looks to stand, but gets taken right back down. Alencar gets to side control, adding an elbow or two before the horn. 10-9 Alencar.
Round 2 – Alencar comes out looking to get her offense going first as Polastri circles on the outside. Alencar looks for the takedown, but Polastri easily steps aside. Polastri, now in and out with her movement, sticks and moves, but Alencar still connects with single punches. Alencar puts together a nice four-punch combo. Polastri darts in with the left and adds a body kick. They continue to exchange, but a low kick from Polastri gets caught, leading to a takedown. On top in half guard, Alencar elbows to the head. A couple of those may have been to the back of the head, but the fight continues. Now it’s elbows to the body before posturing up. 10-9 Alencar.
Round 3 – Single strike exchanges open the final round. Polastri lands a left and a kick to the body. Alencar answers with a few punches of her own. Polastri sticks with the left jab, evades a punch, and then lands a right. Alencar looks to get it back, and Polastri lands another counter punch. After Polastri circles around, Alencar lands a nice two-piece. Polastri doesn’t seem to have a sense of urgency here, but she continues to land when in close range. Alencar lands a kick to the body. Polastri lands a hard right, but Alencar responds with a solid combo. 10-9 Polastri, but the fight goes to Alencar, 29-28.
