It happened just after 4:30 a.m. on Sunday at Vista Del Mar and Culver Boulevard.
Police said a white Jeep collided with another car at the intersection. The driver of the white Jeep fled the scene, leaving behind multiple victims.

Meantime, a 1-year-old died at the hospital. Police also said a 27-year-old man and a young girl remain hospitalized in critical condition.
The relationship between the victims remains unknown.
Meantime, one resident who lives in the area told ABC7 that crashes in the area are not unusual and described the stretch of road as dangerous.
“We just don’t have enough police monitoring it, but I’ve seen people, because I’ve lived here almost 50 years, I’ve seen people hit 70, 80, 90 in this strip. They really think it’s Le Mans. They’re clueless and they don’t care.”
Crews worked at the scene as investigators continued to gather evidence and clean up debris. The intersection remained under police activity for several hours.
Police are still searching for the suspect driver who ran from the crash scene. No additional details about the suspect were immediately released.
Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
