GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – A major roadway in Alachua County was shut down on Monday afternoon due to a rapidly growing 100-acre wildfire.
Florida Forest Service officials say the Lochloosa West Fire has shut down County Road 325 from County Road 346 to Southeast 152nd Lane.
Residents within a three-mile radius of the fire were warned; however, no structures are threatened as of this report.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers warn drivers in the area may encounter reduced visibility due to smoke.
