A singer is to star on a comedy show that’s already poked fun at her home town.
Grantham born singer songwriter Holly Humberstone has been announced as the musical star for the eighth episode of Saturday Night Live UK, which will air on Sky One on Saturday, May 16.
The programme – the UK version of the long-running American series – is enjoying its first series and the episode featuring Holly will be the final episode.

Earlier in the series, Grantham – where Holly is from – was poked fun at. The gag came in the Weekend Update section of the show where cast members Ania Magliano and Paddy Young poke fun at the week’s headlines in a spoof news studio.
Magliano suggested that viewers might want to “avoid Grantham” in response to news about a medieval onion fair returning to the town.

The episode featuring Holly will be hosted by actor Ncuti Gatwa, who has starred in Doctor Who and Sex Education.
It will be aired live from London at 10pm on May 16.
