It’s not every day that we get a candid family post from Duchess Meghan, but when we do, it’s always a happy surprise. Just moments ago, the As Ever founder shared a set of sweet photos on Instagram to mark son Prince Archie’s seventh birthday.
The first one shows Prince Harry lying in bed in a gray T-shirt and slacks, with his teeny tiny newborn son sleeping on his chest. The image was evidently taken shortly after Archie’s birth, and he looks so sweet covered in a white blanket, napping with his dad.
The second photo in the post sees a more grown-up Archie walking along a beach with his little sister, Princess Lilibet. We only see the prince and princess from the back in the photo (which was seemingly taken recently, likely by their mother), but Archie seems to be the spitting image of his father with his ginger hair, black shirt, and gray pants. Lili’s hair is just as red, and she wears a white T-shirt and cute black shorts.
“7 years later…happy birthday to our sweet boy 🤍” Meghan captioned the post.
Archie was born on May 6, 2019 in London, while Harry and Meghan still held their positions as senior members of the British royal family. Meghan even posed for the traditional post-birth portrait—though hers was not taken outside of the hospital where she gave birth, but rather at St George’s Hall in Windsor Castle.
A bit over a year after Archie’s birth, the Sussexes stepped down from their senior roles and moved out of London. They have since set their roots in California, where Lili was born.
