Ronda Rousey returns to the MMA to take on Gina Carano in a featherweight fight May 16 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.
It will be the first time Rousey has competed in an official MMA capacity since Dec. 30 2016.
Rousey won 12 consecutive fights (including eight title wins) before losing her last two title fights. Rousey lost a women’s bantamweight title bout to Amanda Nunes at UFC 207.
Nunes made quick work of Rousey, with a series of successful punches to the face in the first round. The fight was stopped by referee Herb Dean after Rousey was stunned and left wobbling.
Rousey compiled a 12-2 MMA record during her career. She made her UFC debut at UFC 157 and earned a victory over Liz Carmouche by submission.
