Paddy Pimblett has shared a special moment in his personal life as he met one of his favourite Liverpool players today. The UFC star shared a picture standing alongside Mohamed Salah ahead of kick off at Anfield today. Liverpool faced Chelsea in the Premier League, with the Reds being held to a disappointing draw in the race for European football.

Despite the result, Paddy managed to remain in high spirits after the full time whistle. He captioned the picture of him and Salah: “Finally got to meet the legend that is Mo Salah, a real Liverpool FC legend thank you for the memories and for taking time for the picture today.”

The special moment comes as Mo Salah was out of the squad due to an injury he had suffered against Crystal Palace last month. He has not yet resumed training but is expected to return to action before the final game of the season, which will be the winger’s final game for Liverpool FC.

The legendary forward, who will have one year left on his contract once the 2025-26 campaign comes to an end, made the revelation in an emotional video posted to his social media accounts shortly after 6.30pm on Tuesday, March 24.

Fans of the UFC star and footballer were thrilled to see them together. One comment said: “That is quality Paddy” and another said “King and Baddy.” The post has been liked by over 15,000 people.

In November 2025, Paddy was thrilled to meet another Liverpool legend at Anfield, as he spent time with former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard. A post was shared to Instagram by the fighter, posing alongside Gerrard.

He captioned the post “Finally got to meet Mr Liverpool, one of our own and Huyton’s finest, Steven Gerrard. My absolute childhood hero, proper Scouser who gave his all to the club.”

Gerrard responded to the post by saying “good to see you mate”. The post was liked by Gerrard’s eldest daughter Lilly, Wayne Rooney, Jack McMullen, Neco Williams and James-Nelson Joyce.

In his own career, Paddy Pimblett shared a statement online after he suffered defeat against Justin Gaethje in his bid to claim the UFC interim lightweight championship this year. The fight was won by a unanimous decision as the judges scored 48-47 49-46 49-46 in Gaethje’s favour.

He said: “It’s still in my destiny to win that gold!” Sharing some photos from the fight, the 31-year-old star said: “Hope everyone enjoyed my fight just as much as I did, want to thank everyone that came to support and everyone watching at home.”

He informed his followers he is “all good” after the fight and has no injuries. He said: “I’m all good no injuries, went into the fight feeling amazing. I had a great camp and an easy weight cut. No excuses, the better man won on the night @justin_gaethje.”
