Married At First Sight Australia gets schedule switch-up with the dramatic finale just a day away

There are just two episodes left of Married at First Sight Australia‘s latest season (season 13, if you can believe), but if you’re the kind of person to sit down and be ready at 7.30pm on the dot, then you’re going to have a bit of a wait on your hands.
Thankfully it’s not that much of a wait, as tonight’s penultimate episode and tomorrow’s finale are moving from their usual 7.30 slot to 8pm on E4. That’s because they’re shorter episodes than usual.
But don’t worry! Thursday will also see MAFS Australia: After the Reunion air at 10pm, while MAFS Australia: After the Experiment airs on Friday at 10pm.

The whole season has sadly been tinged with tragedy, as it was the final one relationship advisor Mel Schilling filmed before her passing at the age of 54 from cancer.
E4 was partway through airing the season when Mel passed away and the first episode to air after her passing was dedicated to her, with the broadcaster revealing that Mel had specifically asked for the show to continue to airing.
“Everyone at Channel 4 is hugely saddened by the news we’ve lost Mel Schilling,” the channel’s announcer said.
“It was Mel and her family’s wish that we carry on showing Married at First Sight and celebrate her mission to help others find love and happiness. Our thoughts are with Mel’s family and friends.”

Looking ahead, Channel 4 has announced Second Marriage at First Sight, an all-stars season that will see four former faces from MAFS UK and four contestants from MAFS Australia go through the experiment again.
But there’s an extra wrinkle on top of that, as each Brit will be paired with an Aussie. Having to decide to move across the country to start a life with your newly-met spouse is one thing, but moving halfway across the world is a huge leap.
Married At First Sight Australia airs on E4.
