Update 11am The helicopter has left the area, and the drone has also returned to the ground. No further official detail has been released on the nature of the incident, and large police response.
Update 1030: The incident is ongoing with a police drone up around the B&Q roundabout / Wrexham hospital site, with armed police and undercover police vehicles blue lighting in the area.
Watery Road has several police vehicles parked up, with traffic being stopped from accessing into the area.
There is no further detail released by police, with no official information on North Wales Police’s website and the main North Wales Police facebook page that is signposted is not visible to non-Meta users.
The official North Wales Police website does point people to localised pages, which for non-Meta users shows the below statement but is also highlighting speculation to the nature of the incident.

Armed officers are in attendance at an ongoing police incident in Wrexham city centre.
In a statement, NWP Wrexham Town said: “We are currently dealing with an ongoing police incident in Wrexham city centre.
“As a result, there is a heavy police presence in the area, including authorised firearms officers as a precautionary measure.
“We will share further information in due course.”
