Many Brits are devoted fans of Ryanair, drawn in by the airline’s wallet-friendly fares and no-frills reliability. However, one frequent traveller to Benidorm found himself “fuming” after his remarkably affordable £16.99 flight failed to include something he had simply taken for granted.

Graham White regularly documents his escapades at the much-loved Spanish coastal resort, sharing clips with his 75,000 TikTok followers. But he was left thoroughly disappointed when boarding a flight to Alicante. He travelled on his bargain ticket, only for him and his friend to be left incensed upon discovering that the £16.99 fare did not cover WiFi access.

He revealed: “My mate thought WiFi was included. My mate couldn’t believe [that it wasn’t]. I even asked [the flight attendant] if the pilot would let him use his hotspot.”

In a clip that has so far racked up 1,800 views, Graham quizzed a flight attendant about the lack of internet connectivity, though fellow passengers appeared baffled as to why he had even raised the question. The cabin crew member clarified they “don’t have it at all,” and somebody in the background remarked: “You’re lucky you have a seatbelt; you’re on Ryanair.”

Recently, Ryanair hit back at passengers who requested WiFi on their planes, saying: “If you’re bored, stop asking for the Wi-Fi. Instead… try sleeping”.

“No WiFi, but their card machines work to sell you things,” someone complained in the comments section. Others, meanwhile, were left utterly speechless, responding with crying-with-laughter emojis and questioning why anyone would expect WiFi on a Ryanair flight.

Ryanair’s website makes this abundantly clear, stating regarding in-flight WiFi: “No. Currently, we do not offer Wi-Fi on our flights. Sorry.”

Graham has previously attracted online attention for his Benidorm exploits, including flagging a spot where a pint costs less than a cup of tea. He’s far from the only one sharing content from Benidorm and alerting Brits to potential pitfalls, however.

Harry, who posts under the handle @harrytokky, revealed that building an innocent sandcastle could land you with a hefty fine. Building a sandcastle could set you back a staggering £87 (€100), so you may want to think twice before indulging in this seemingly harmless childhood pastime.

In a recent video, Harry Poulton noted that the holiday hotspot is virtually deserted, with tourists being “priced out” of the resort.

He described it as the “weirdest thing you can get fined for in Spain,” adding that you “probably didn’t even know you could get penalised for it” given how peculiar it is.

His mate, Louis Grier, assumed he was referring to public indecency — but it was simply sandcastle-building, which he described as “mad”.

“Supposedly, you could be obstructing walkways,” he vented, rounding off the video by calling it “a bit bizarre”.
