Tesco has announced trials of a “major upgrade” to its meal deal lineup, with the introduction of a new hot breakfast and lunch option.
Beginning with trials in 39 stores across the UK for a limited time, customers will be able to purchase hot breakfast and lunch items for £5.50 with a Clubcard, with products including sausage rolls, croissants and paninis joining the lineup.
Customers can pair their choice with a range of sides, including fruit pots, plus drinks such as chilled coffees, smoothies and juices as part of the deal.
Tesco also announced it was introducing a fresh range of chilled breakfast-to-go products across large stores, designed to offer quick, convenient and flavour-packed options for busy mornings.
New products include a Tesco Butter Beans & Chorizo Egg Pot, Tesco Banoffee Overnight Oats and Tesco Strawberry Compote with Granola and Greek Style Yoghurt.
