Thunder hold off Spurs to take Game 3 of WCF

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 26 points, Jared McCain added 24 off the bench, and the Oklahoma City Thunder staved off the San Antonio Spurs to win Game 3 on Friday, 123-108.
McCain’s 24 points overtake the 18 he scored in Game 2 against the Los Angeles Lakers as his best single-game mark in these playoffs.
Victor Wembanyama led the Spurs with 26 points in the loss.
San Antonio opened the game on a 15-0 run but found itself trailing by 15 after McCain, who shot 10-of-21 but 2-of-10 from three, converted a floater with just under 10 minutes remaining in the fourth. The Spurs reduced the deficit to nine with a 9-2 run over the next three minutes but couldn’t close the gap further down the stretch.
Oklahoma City’s bench scored 76 of the team’s points, compared to just 23 for the Spurs reserves.
Game 4 goes Sunday in San Antonio at 8 p.m. ET.
