Across our area, communities are preparing Memorial Day ceremonies to pay tribute to the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. armed forces.
Berks County

Birdsboro: Memorial Day 2026 in Birdsboro will feature a parade, wreath-laying ceremonies, and community gatherings. The parade starts at 9 a.m. on May 25th from Daniel Boone High School. A ceremony will be held at the Birdsboro Veterans Memorial at 10 a.m. at the VFW Post 411 Pavilion.

Boyertown: Parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. on May 25th at the Boyertown High School Monroe Street entrance, traveling west on Philadelphia Avenue to Fairview Cemetery, where a ceremony begins at about 10 a.m.

Centerport: The Centerport Fire Department will host a Memorial Day Parade on May 25 at 10 a.m. from Centershore Road, Harrison Drive, east on Mill Dam Road Centerport, southeast on Prospect Road, south on Little Neck Road. Ends at Park Circle, Centerport followed by a ceremony at the memorial monuments in the park.

Fleetwood: The Horace Kieffer American Legion Post 625 Fleetwood program will begin at 9 a.m. on May 25th with a brief service at Fleetwood Cemetery. Following the service, the parade will continue to Fleetwood Community Park. Upon arrival at the park, the color guard and firing squad will proceed to St. Paul’s Cemetery for a short memorial service before returning to Community Park for the continuation of the ceremonies. Hamburg: The following ceremonies consisting of a rifle shoot are scheduled on Monday, May 25: 9:30 a.m., at the War Memorial, Second and State streets; 10 at the Greenwood and St. Mary’s cemeteries, 300 block of North Fifth Street; 10:30, main ceremony at St. Johns Cemetery (enter off State or Pine streets), including performance by the Blue Mountain Heritage Choir; followed by open houses with food and refreshments at the VFW Post, Fourth and State streets, and the American Legion Post, 650 Franklin Street. Mohnton: A parade will begin on May 25th at 9 a.m. at the Earl Eshelman Memorial VFW Post 9045 at 225 W. Wyomissing Ave. Services will be held at the VFW at 8:45 a.m. and immediately following the parade at the cemetery. The memorial service will then be held at Calvary United Methodist Church, Wyomissing Avenue and Church Street, at 10 a.m. The VFW will host a chicken barbecue from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring music at 1 p.m., along with games and raffles.

Muhlenberg: The parks and recreation department event begins at 9 a.m. near the flagpole at Jim Dietrich Park on 4899 Stoudts Ferry Bridge Road. The morning will include speeches, music, and a time of reflection. Following the speeches and readings, go to Pavilion 2 (near the basketball courts) for light refreshments and fellowship. Oley: The Oley Valley American Legion Post 878 will be firing 21-gun salutes at the following cemeteries and approximate times on May 24th: God’s Grace Church, Main Street at 8:35 a.m.; St Paul’s Lobachsville at 8:50 a.m.; Pleasantville Cemetery at 9:10 a.m.; Oley Spangville Cemetery at 9:30 a.m.; Oley Line Cemetery at 9:55 a.m.; Spies Church Cemetery, Alsace Township, at 10:15 a.m. The Legion will host a parade starting at 6 p.m. from Oley Valley High School. The parade will travel Main Street to Freiden’s Cemetery, where there will be a religious service and music provided by the high school band. The speaker will be Carl Brown, Vietnam silver star recipient. A 21-gun salute will follow. In case of rain, the service will be in the high school auditorium.

Reading: The first of two ceremonies hosted by the Combined Veterans Council of Berks County will be at Veterans Grove in City Park at 9 a.m. on May 25th. Navy Chief Petty Andrew Kropf will be the speaker. The second ceremony will be at the Civil War Monument in Charles Evans Cemetery, Centre Avenue, at about 10:15 a.m.

Robesonia: On May 21st, a memorial remembrance ceremony will be held at the Henry P. Robeson Memorial Park, Penn Avenue and Robeson Street, at 6:30 p.m. Guest speaker will be Berks County Commissioner Dante Santoni Jr.

Shillington: The American Legion Reber-Moore Post 635 of Shillington 98th annual parade starts at Shillington Park at 10:30 a.m. on May 25th. The parade travels on Broad Street to Sterley Street, to Pennsylvania Avenue, to Brobst Street, to Shillington Town Hall for a brief service.

Wernersville: Parade kicks off at 10 a.m. on May 25th from The Western Berks Fire Department to Washington Street, to Wilson Avenue, ending at the fire house.

Wyomissing: The Borough of Wyomissing will host its annual Memorial Day Parade & Remembrance Ceremony on Monday, May 25, with the parade stepping off at 10:00 a.m. from the Wyomissing Hills Elementary Center on Woodland Road. The route will go through the Wyomissing Hills neighborhood, and the ceremony will take place at Wyomissing Hills Memorial Park War Memorial. Find out more information at www.wyomissingboro.org.

Doylestown: Our annual Memorial Day Parade returns on Monday, May 25, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. The parade will begin at Central Bucks High School West and travel through town, ending near East Court Street. To ensure a safe route, no parking will be permitted along the parade route starting at 5:00 a.m.. Vehicles remaining after that time will be towed at the owner’s expense. Please plan ahead and use alternate parking. Free parking will be available for attendees in the Bucks County parking garage (Broad, Doyle, and Union Streets) from 9 a.m. until one hour after the parade ends.

Langhorne: The 107th Memorial Day Parade is to begin with 9 a.m. ceremonies on the lawn of the Jesse W. Soby American Legion Post 148, 115 W. Richardson Ave. The parade is to commence immediately afterward and make a circuit through the main streets of Langhorne, including Bellevue and Maple Avenues and Pine Street (Route 413).

Morrisville: The Memorial Day Parade is to step off from the Morrisville Presbyterian Church at 9 a.m. Monday. It’s to conclude with a ceremony at the Morrisville Cemetery along South Pennsylvania Avenue beginning at 10 a.m. There’s to be a reception at Summerseat afterward with free hotdogs and hamburgers from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. alongside a dedication ceremony.

Newtown: The May 25th parade begins at the Newtown Commons (642 Newtown-Yardley Road) at 9:00 a.m. A ceremony will be conducted in the Newtown Cemetery Approx at 9:20 a.m. The parade ends at Newtown Legion Morell Smith Post (440 41 Linden Avenue). Penndel/Hulmeville: Memorial Day Parade is to begin at 9 a.m. Saturday. This parade is to start at Ford and Main streets, proceeding north along Main Street and turning left on Hulme Avenue. It’s to proceed north on Bellevue Avenue to Woodland Avenue in Penndel, then turn left onto Woodland and proceed west, turning left onto Hulmeville Avenue and ending at the Penndel Memorial/Recreation Field.

Perkasie and Sellersville are set to hold a joint Memorial Day celebration May 23 with a parade to step off at 9 a.m. from Clymer Avenue and Diamond Street, proceeding to the veterans’ memorial in Lenape Park for a memorial service.

Quakertown: Members of the American Legion are to commemorate Memorial Day on Monday with a parade starting at 9 a.m. followed by a ceremony at the veterans’ memorial in Memorial Park.

Warminster: Memorial Day ceremonies are to begin at the Warminster Township building at 10 a.m. followed by a parade from the building at 11 a.m. The parade is to end at the Warminster VFW building along Louis Drive, where food and drink will be available, according to organizers.

Warrington: Memorial Day Ceremony is to be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Igoe Porter Wellings Memorial Field in Chalfont.

Washington Crossing Historic Park is set to hold its annual Memorial Day ceremony May 24 at 1 p.m. The event is to be held at The Revolutionary War Soldiers Gravesite behind the Thompson Neely House. The observation is to include a colonial color guard, fife and drum music, Revolutionary War reenactors, veterans and other honored guests.

Yardley: On May 25, American Legion Post 317 is to begin Memorial Day observances at 7 a.m. with rifle salutes at the veteran cemetery. At 9 a.m., the ceremony is to begin at the Yardley monument at Afton and Delaware avenues. The Yardley-Makefield Memorial Day Parade is to follow at 11 a.m. from the Maplevale section of North Main Street. The parade is then to march south on Main Street to the Yardley-Makefield American Legion Hall.

Weatherly: The traditional parade is scheduled for Monday, May 25, 2026. It typically features the Weatherly band, starting at 9 a.m. and proceeding through the borough to Union Cemetery.

Summit Hill: Carbon County’s largest memorial parade, featuring a service at Ludlow Park at 10 a.m. and the parade at 11 a.m.
Lehigh County

Allentown: The Rotary Club of Allentown West, in partnership with Parkland School District, announced the 2nd Annual Flags for Unity event. The event will take place from May 21 to May 25, 2026, encompassing Memorial Day Weekend, on the grounds in front of Parkland High School (2700 N Cedar Crest Blvd). The Opening Ceremony starts May 21 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. A 30-minute closing ceremony will be held on Memorial Day at 6 p.m., including a guest speaker’s address before the flags are removed. Salisbury: The 137th Annual Memorial Day Program will be held on Monday, May 25 at 11:55 a.m. at Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church, 3441 Devonshire Road, Allentown, PA 18103. The event will take place outside at the Veterans Monument, on the Cemeteries and in the Church Grove, weather permitting. The program will begin with the raising of the American Flag to full-staff at noon. The program will continue with a live vocalist, a keynote address given by Vietnam Combat Veteran, and prayer. Upper Saucon: Hosts the Annual Upper Saucon Memorial Day 2-Mile Walk/Bike/Run at Upper Saucon Park (3231 Preston Lane, Center Valley) at 10:00 a.m. The event pays tribute to fallen service members with local Gold Star families in attendance.

Hatfield: The 80th Annual Hatfield American Legion Memorial Day Parade will take place on May 25 at 9 a.m., following the wreath-laying ceremony at the Veterans Memorial. All are invited to stand along the parade route as we honor fallen military members. After the parade, stop by the Legion Post 933 for the Memorial Day ceremony, car show, and BBQ immediately following the parade.

Collegeville: 2026 Collegeville-Trappe Memorial Day Parade is on Monday, May 25 at 10 a.m. This year’s Memorial Day Parade and Remembrance Ceremony will highlight the actions of General Washington’s Continental Army in the area and honor the heroic sacrifices of those early brave soldiers who died to make us a free nation. The mile-long parade features over 50 groups including veterans, scouts, bands, dancers, and floats, and concludes with a heartfelt Remembrance Observance, and a family-friendly concert and Community Day celebration at Waterworks Park.

Lansdale: The annual Lansdale Memorial Day Parade will take place on Monday, May 25, honoring those who gave all for our country, marches up Main Street starting at 9 a.m., and ends with a ceremony in Memorial Park at 10 a.m.

Ardmore: On May 25, start your morning in Ardmore at the Township Admin Building for patriotic music performed by the Merion Concert Band at 9:45. Following the performance, the Ardmore Memorial Day Parade will start down Lancaster Ave at 10:30 a.m. beginning at Greenfield Ave and conclude at St. Paul’s Cemetery. After the parade, a wreath laying ceremony will take place at St. Paul’s near the Argyle Ave entrance.

Pottstown: The town will host a Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 25 at 10:00 a.m. The parade will last until 11:00 a.m. and end at Memorial Park according to a Facebook post by the Veterans’ Island at Memorial Park page. There will be a memorial at that time to honor veterans. Staging for the parade will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Goodwill Fire Company.

Bethlehem: ArtsQuest is launching a Memorial Day weekend celebration, featuring the Hometown Heroes 2026 photo‑banner display, live music, and the “A Time to Remember” ceremony. From May 22 to July 6, more than 1,900 banners will transform the SteelStacks campus into a living memorial, each showcasing a local service member’s photo, rank, branch, era of service, and hometown. The weekend will conclude with a ceremony on Monday May 25th starting at 3 p.m. on the Highmark Blue Shield Community Stage on the Air Products Town Square. Easton: The City of Easton will host the annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday 5/26. The parade steps off at 10:30 a.m. from the intersection of 6th & Northampton Streets proceeds east on Northampton Street through Centre Square to the Free Bridge. At the Free Bridge, the mayors of Easton and Phillipsburg will jointly toss a ceremonial wreath into the Delaware River in memory of the service members we have lost. After the parade, there will be a ceremony at Riverside Park amphitheater on Larry Holmes Drive.

Nazareth: On Monday, May 25, the Borough of Nazareth will hold a parade and memorial service on the portico of the Council Chambers, starting at approximately 10:45 a.m.

Pen Argyl: The event will take place at Fairview Cemetery (1138 Middletown Rd, Pen Argyl) on May 25th at 9:00 a.m. The ceremony will include a veteran keynote speaker, patriotic music, free mini flags, poetry readings, live bugler and rifle salute by the Post 502 Honor Guard.

Richboro: Northampton Township will hold its annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 25, at 9:00 a.m. at Robert H. Dembowski Veterans Memorial Park in Richboro. Williams Township: The ceremony will take place Sunday May 24 at 6:00 p.m. at The Williams Township Veterans Memorial (655 Cider Press Road in Easton). Visitors are encouraged to bring their own chairs.

Tamaqua: The 159th annual Memorial Day Parade begins at 10 a.m. It forms in the last block of East Broad Street near NAPA Auto Parts. Following the parade, a featured service will take place at 11:00 a.m. at Soldiers’ Circle in Odd Fellow’s Cemetery.

Belvidere: American Legion Post 131 will host the annual Memorial Day Parade on May 26, 2025 starting at 9:00 AM. The parade steps off in front of the Legion, 122 Greenwich Street (parade route – Front to Oxford to the Belvidere Cemetery, back down Oxford to Second to the War Memorial to Greenwich to the light and then to the Delaware River Bridge and back to the Legion). Please come out to honor those that gave their lives to protect our freedom.

Hackettstown: Memorial Day Parade hosted by the American Legion 164 on Monday, May 25 at 10:00 a.m. Hosted by American Legion Post 164, the 2026 Memorial Day Parade steps off at the corner of Grand Ave. and Main St.at 10 a.m. and proceeds down Route 46 to Mountain Avenue, concluding with a service at Union Cemetery. Any and all Veterans are welcome to join and a variety of antique vehicles will be available for veterans to ride the parade route!

Blairstown: The Givens-Belet American Legion Post 258 is hosting a parade on May 24th at 12:00 p.m. at Cedar Ridge Cemetery. The procession begins at 1:00 p.m. from the Tractor Supply lot and will conclude at Footbridge Park, where we will have refreshments, awards, and time for fellowship.

Phillipsburg: The Town of Phillipsburg and the Bernardine May American Legion Post 457is hosting a parade on May 25 at 9:30 a.m. A New Route for Safety. The morning begins this year with the Memorial Day Parade procession, kicking off at 9:30 a.m. Learn more information here.

Califon: The borough’s Parks and Recreation Committee (PARC) will present its Califon Borough Annual Memorial Day Parade stepping off at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 25, on School Street in the borough. The parade will feature the 15th New Jersey Volunteer Infantry Company A, antique cars, local Scout troops, area fire, rescue squads, and police, and much more. The parade will process down Main Street and will continue to Califon Island Park.

Readington: The township will host its annual Memorial Day Parade starting at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 25. The parade will honor veterans with a procession beginning at the Kings Shopping Center on Route 22 East, moving down Route 523, and ending at the municipal building for a flag ceremony at 11:45 a.m. and refreshments to follow at Pickell Park.
