Becky Lynch breaks unfortunate record at WWE Clash in Italy 2026

Becky Lynch broke an unfortunate WWE record at the Clash in Italy 2026 PLE.

In the fourth match of the night at Clash in Italy in Turin, fans saw Sol Ruca defeat Becky Lynch to become the brand new WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion.

However, while doing so, Lynch broke quite an unfortunate championship record. In addition to holding the record for the longest-reigning WWE Women’s Intercontinental title at 163-days, Lynch is now also the shortest-ever Women’s Intercontinental Champion.

The finish of the match saw Lynch go for the manhandle slam near the corner, which Ruca countered. She then followed it up with the Sol Snatcher and secured the pinfall victory.

Lynch’s third title reign came to an end at just 43-days at Clash in Italy. She had previously won the title from AJ Lee at WWE WrestleMania 42. The shortest-ever title reign was previously held by both Lee and Maxxine Dupri, each for 49-days. Lynch’s second reign lasted for 54-days, while inaugural champion Lyra Valkyria held the gold for 145-days.

Just weeks after making the main roster jump to WWE RAW, Ruca has now won her first-ever WWE main-roster singles championship.
