Eagles-Bengals preseason game gets national treatment

The Eagles are set to host the Bengals for their Week 3 preseason game this upcoming summer, and the NFL announced on Wednesday that the matchup will be a nationally televised game on CBS with an 8:00 PM ET kick-off.
The league also released the full preseason schedule, with the Eagles looking at these three games:
As things have trended the past few years, there’s little chance that starters play much, if at all, in their third preseason game, but as the offense installs a new system, they might see more than zero snaps. Regardless of who is on the field, it’s a Friday night game at Lincoln Financial Field, and it should be a fun end-of-summer environment.
Another game (newly) circled for some will be the second preseason game against the Patriots — and their new wide receiver A.J. Brown. While this might be considered must-watch TV, the truth is that the teams will compete in a joint training camp practices ahead of the actual matchup and Nick Sirianni prefers those more controlled reps for his starters than a game.
