Satellite photos reveal possible damage at key Israeli air force base

Ramat David Airbase in the North may have been struck during the Iranian missile attacks on Monday, according to satellite imagery published by Soar Atlas on Tuesday.
Comparing satellite footage from Monday to footage from June 5, it is possible to see what appears to be the impact of an airstrike at a hangar at the IAF base, which is southeast of Haifa, near Migdal Ha’emek.
It is unclear from the imagery what might have been damaged and to what degree.
The IDF did not respond to a Jerusalem Post request for comment, nor did it respond to Yediot Aharonot, which first reported about Soar Atlas’s X/Twitter post.
Last month, imagery was published of what appeared to be two airstrikes that impacted Ramat David Airbase during Operation Roaring Lion. The IAF base normally houses five F-16 and drone squadrons.
Despite the airstrikes on the base and on other IAF bases over the past three years of war, the IAF has said it has not lost a fighter jet.
Before the Iranian airstrikes, the IDF and IAF had redeployed soldiers and fighter jets to avoid losing critical assets, because not every base can be properly protected at all times.
