Comcast is opening a new Xfinity Store in Machesney Park.
The store is at 1556 W. Lane Road in the Gateway District, according to a community announcement.
The new location is expected to open in the coming weeks and will expand Comcast’s retail presence in the Rockford area.
“The addition of an Xfinity Store strengthens our village’s retail corridor and enhances the services available to our residents,” Machesney Park Mayor Steve Johnson said in the release. “We appreciate Comcast’s investment in our community and their commitment to providing convenient access to everyday products and services for our residents.”
The store will offer a range of services
The new storefront will feature an interactive design that allows visitors to experience the complete line of Xfinity residential products and services or discuss their business technology needs with a Comcast Business expert.
“Opening a new Xfinity Store in Machesney Park allows us to deliver a more convenient, personalized experience to customers,” said Scott Wottle, Comcast’s regional vice president of sales and marketing. “From exploring the latest products to getting one-on-one support, this location is designed around the needs of the Machesney Park community.”
The new store will join the existing Xfinity Store in Rockford at 6244 Mulford Village Drive.
What the store will offer
Xfinity Stores are designed so consumers can see products in action, according to the announcement.
Customers can learn about the company’s Gigabit+ internet speeds and powerful WiFi that covers the entire home. They can also explore Xfinity Mobile and Comcast Business Mobile, with the option to purchase new mobile phones, devices and accessories.
The store will also showcase the Xfinity X1 video platform and Xfinity Home Solutions, which combine home security and automation.
Business customers can connect with experts to discuss Comcast Business’ suite of solutions, including fast, reliable connectivity, secure networking solutions, advanced cybersecurity and a range of managed service options.
Visitors can drop in and explore the store instead of waiting in line with a time-saving queuing system, or go online to make an appointment.
The Xfinity Store in Machesney Park will be open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays.
