The wait is over: It’s time for hot people fighting on dragonback.

The previous two seasons of House of the Dragon set up the decades-long rivalry between the Crown Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) and her stepmother/former best friend Queen Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke). Season three is cashing in on all the teasing and finally giving us the Dance of the Dragons, the Targaryen civil war that brings Westeros to its knees, in all its bloody and fiery glory. More action means more to unpack, like incestuous bloodlines, secret plots that have been years in the making, the rapidly shifting alliances, and how to tell all the silver-haired Targaryens apart. That’s why we’re bringing back our subscriber-exclusive newsletter House of the Dragon Club.

Every week, writers and editors from all around the magazine — Fire & Blood devotees and first-time viewers alike — will discuss, debate, and obsess over all the minutiae of the latest episode. The Vulture TV team is ready to remind you of the dragon names and what got left out in the adaptation from book to screen. Intelligencer reporters might drop in to explain the political maneuvering of Westeros’s power players. And the style experts at The Cut are on deck to break down every look (and relationship), from the throne room to the battlefield.

New episodes of House of the Dragon will premiere on HBO every Sunday night starting June 21. Newsletters will go out on Mondays, ready for you whenever you’ve had a chance to watch.

Simon Strong reaction GIFs. I am genuinely looking forward to the return of the HOTD Scorecard.” –Genevieve Koski, TV editor
