Viral food delivery sparks over half a million dollars in donations
A brief clip of a DoorDasher dropping off a food delivery led to over a half a million dollars in donations. See what happened.
Thousands of DoorDash users have reported issues with the platform Tuesday morning.
More than 36,000 DoorDash users reported issues with the platform at 10:20 a.m. ET on Tuesday, June 16, according to Downdetector, which provides real-time outage updates. The peak of outage reports began at 9:30 a.m. ET.
As of 10 a.m. ET, 73% of the issues were associated with the mobile app.
The majority of issues were reported in New York, Chicago, Detroit, Dallas and Los Angeles, according to Downdetector.
In an X post made just after 10 a.m. ET, DoorDash said it is aware of the issue. Updates will continue to be posted on the DoorDash Help X account.
“We’re aware of an issue affecting our platform and are working urgently to resolve it,” the post says. “We thank our users for their patience and understanding, and apologize for any inconvenience.”
